[PIVXUSDT Introduction]
PIVX, short for Protected Instant Verified Transaction (or eXchange), is a decentralized, open-source blockchain and cryptocurrency project that launched on January 30, 2016. Licensed under MIT and initiated as a fair-launch project, PIVX is managed, developed, and governed by a community-driven decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Its primary focus is on ensuring user financial data protection, leveraging advanced cryptographic protocols to safeguard sensitive information. PIVX emphasizes that financial data protection is at the core of its mission.
Although built on Bitcoin’s codebase, PIVX has undergone extensive custom development and integration. It operates on a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus protocol, utilizing its native cryptocurrency, “PIV.” PIVX has been a pioneer in advancing the PoS algorithm, incorporating innovations like Time Protocol v2 and Cold Staking.
